Welcome to New Vibe Gymnastics

Hi there,

My name is Violet Dominguez and I am the owner of New Vibe Gymnastics! I come from many generations of acrobats and dancers. My grandmother was a vaudeville acrobat / contortionist who opened a dance studio in Staten Island , my mother and her twin danced for fosse and later opened their own studios in Brooklyn and Staten Island, and then there is me!

The single most important thing to know about me is dancing and gymnastics saved my life. Growing up gymnastics and dance provided me the safe reprieve I was in desperate need of. As a competitor I learned to push past all the difficult challenges life often surrounds you by to pursue my personal best. I found my creative outlet that gave me confidence and hope in the darkest of times. When I had absolutely nothing, dance and gymnastics made me feel rich in purpose and hope.

New Vibe was created during Covid and what seemed to be the most uncertain of times for gymnastics. I imagined what it would be like to not have access to dance or gymnastics as a child and immediately felt a wave of fear for that outcome. With one piece of equipment at a time I turned my Palisades back yard into an outdoor gymnastics center, until I could save enough for my first real brick and mortar Palisades location, and now have a new state of the art facility in Santa Monica to call home.

This gym was created with the soul purpose to provide a safe space for children. It is my belief that every child deserves to learn in a safe environment where they can learn at their own pace, build confidence, community, and friendships along the way. Our priority is the encourage, uplift, and help every student build confidence. We want everyone who comes for a Vibe Check to leave feeling better than when they walked in. Being a gymnast is hard work! Every small achievement should be celebrated. You do not have to be an Olympic athlete to have a champion mindset. At New Vibe we offer private to pod style learning so every student can learn at their own pace. We understand every child retains information and learns in a different way and therefore to compliment that our coaches always have an individualized approach to teaching each student.
