Violet Dominguez

Owner of New Vibe Gymnastics

Originally from New York City, Coach Violet grew up training in competitive gymnastics, ballroom, cheerleading, acrobatics, and dance. She attended the Professional Performing Arts H.S. where she trained on scholarship with the prestigious Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. She spent her summers studying ballet with the American Ballet Theater NY Summer Intensive. Violet was awarded the Chancellor's endorsed arts diploma upon completion of her training. As a gymnast she competed under USAG winning several State Titles for New York State in both all around and individual events.

As a professional dancer/choreographer she has choreographed national commercials for companies such as Lord & Taylor, live shows for New York Fashion Week, music videos for various artists, and elite gymnastics floor routines. With a specialty in ballroom and latin dance she is the founder of Salsa Sundays specializing in pop up salsa nights across los angeles. Growing up Violet was always in the dance studio or gymnastics center. Her mother, aunt, and grandmother all owned their own dance studios and taught gymnastics. Her grandmother was an acrobat in Vaudeville and her Mom and Aunt danced for fosse. Her passion for teaching began while assisting her mother and aunt with classes, and later becoming a Junior Coach with Richmond Gymnastics. With a background in dance and gymnastics, her students are able to learn both the skills of gymnastics and safe landing/stretching techniques derived from dance.
